Background:
Warren Road Primary is a well respected and popular school situated in south Orpington, Kent, a residential community from where many people commute daily to work in London. Opened in 1938, the school occupies a 7.5-acre site. Extra-curricular activities include soccer, hockey, netball, cricket, swimming, computers, German, French, chess, recorders, gymnastics, singing and dancing. There are also taster programmes in sports such as hockey, lacrosse, tennis, soccer, rugby and athletics. The school is well represented in local and national competitions and has enjoyed considerable sporting success. The parent-teacher association is very strong and parents help with tasks such as games, cookery and computers. The school aims to provide for the children a happy stimulating environment, both visually and aurally, and help them develop an aesthetic sensitivity and appreciation.
