Background:

The present building of Culverstone Green Primary School was opened in 1959 and is situated in the heart of a rural community. The school is situated on a two-and-a-quarter acre site with a football and rounders pitch, netball court and open air swimming pool. Culverstone Green offers a broad range of extra-curricular activities, such as sewing, craft, computer and drama, run by parents and staff. Sports clubs include football, netball, hockey, cricket and rounders. The school also has continued involvement in the Orchard Theatres Outreach Project. Residential journeys are organised for older pupils and children are taken out into the wider community or visitors are invited to the school to provide experiences of interest to the children. The school also supports national and international charities.
