Background:
Joy Lane Junior School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is seven to 11. Joy Lane is very proud of its ICT suite, which was officially opened in February 2001. There are 4 printers, two colour and two laser to allow a permanent record of pupils' work. There is supervised and filtered internet access. The children will be given opportunities to sing, to play tuned instruments, to perform, to compose and to communicate their musical ideas to others. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. The school aims to provide a safe and pleasant environment for effective learning.
