Background:
Pilgrims' Way Primary School is a co-educational school admitting children from the age of four to 11. The school is situated on the south eastern outskirts of the city. It was built by Canterbury City Council in 1971 and subsequently extended in 2000. There are 14 classrooms, a spacious library area, a 16-station computer suite linked to the internet, a children's kitchen, a hall, two playgrounds and a large adjacent playing field. Pilgrims' Way is one of two designated primary schools for physically disabled children in the Canterbury district. The school is proud to be able to offer all children a fully-inclusive school experience. The school aims to make Pilgrims' Way a beacon amongst schools. To do this the school will build unstoppable teams where the driving force is a passion to create a school where all the children and all its staff will be able to achieve success and accomplish what may appear, at the outset.
