Background:

St Pauls' Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School was founded in 1862. The school has four classes and is located in a rural setting. This year a new reception classroom is to be built with an outside play area. Planning permission for the replacement of two mobile classrooms is also being sought. The school runs clubs for recorders, guitar, football, netball and country dancing. The school regularly enters sports competitions with other local schools. The school has an enviable reputation for supporting a range of charities. Recently supported charities include National children's homes, children with Leukaemia and Marie Curie Cancer Care. It has community links with the local Parish Church and the Salvation Army.
