Background:

The school has grown considerably since the infant and junior departments were amalgamated in September 1983. There are two separate buildings which are very near to each other. This presents a child with an opportunity to progress right through from four to 11 years old by the end of the junior department. The school buildings are used for a variety of functions, lectures, meetings etc. The junior buildings house the school's ICT suite and a well-equipped, modern junior library. A spacious hall is used for physical education lessons, assemblies, school lunches, music concerts and drama productions. The school offers a variety of clubs, which include music, netball, football, rugby, dance, drama, rounders, cricket, choir and art and craft. Visits to places of education importance are also arranged. The school is proud of its many sporting achievements and has a growing reputation for music with violin, cello, recorder, guitar, clarinet and flute lessons all on offer. Through a caring ethos the school aims to provide all pupils with a happy, rewarding and successful life at the school.
