Background:
Wingham is a one-form entry school with seven classes. It is especially proud of its musical tradition, maintained by a fleet of peripatetic teachers which supports its own part-time specialist. Around 80 Key Stage 2 children take individual music lessons and there is a 50-strong choir and a strings group. The school's commitment to environmental education has seen a newly-transformed wildlife area flourish from small beginnings. Its grounds also support extensive maths trails and the wide range of extra-curricular sporting activities on offer.
