Background:

Monkton School is a three class mixed Church of England School set in the centre of the village of Monkton. The school has four main teaching areas; two are based in the main school building and two in spacious mobiles. There is a large grassed area for football, rounders and games. Children play on this area at playtimes when conditions allow. The computers are used daily throughout the curriculum meaning that all children have the use of the computers and internet on a regular basis. The school aims to develop pupil's physical coordinators and to develop their awareness and acquisition of the basic skills of gymnastics games, dance and swimming. The school aims to offer a happy, safe and secure environment in a family atmosphere.
