Background:

Park Way Primary School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is four to 11. The school was opened in 1938 as Plains Infant School, the name being changed when the main entrance was moved to Park Way. The original building has benefited from considerable improvements. The school'site is very spacious and attractive. The outdoor facilities comprise two main playgrounds, a quiet area, separate early years area, large field and a large assembly hall. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These include gymnastics, football, netball, cross-country, hockey, choir, craft, modern dance, drama, computer and French. The school aims to enable every child to reach his or her potential in a caring and supportive environment.
