Background:
St John's Church of England Primary School, Sevenoaks, which has served the local community since 1865. The school is central to the St John's area of Sevenoaks and stands on a site at the corner of Bayham Road and Kennedy Gardens. The school's accommodation consists of the original Victorian hall and offices with six classrooms added more recently. Facilities include an assembly hall used for indoor physical education, lunches and drama work. There is also an extensive sports area including two playgrounds and a large playing field. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include rugby, cricket, netball, football and hockey. The school aims to provide a community in which children can share in Christian fellowship and grow in spiritual awareness.
