Background:

St Lawrence School was founded in 1865 along with the Church. The school is delightfully situated in a woodland setting, close to the Church of St Lawrence, Seal Chart and in the village of Stone Street. It is four miles from Sevenoaks and six miles from Tonbridge. There is a library and reception area, office, small hall and well equipped information and communication technology suite. The national curriculum has core subjects including English, mathematics, science, religious education and information and communication technology and foundation subjects including history, geography, design and technology, physical education, art and music. The school has a wide variety of before-school and after-school clubs including orchestra, football and gardening. The school aims to provide a safe, stimulating environment where all children learn together in a purposeful way, taking pride in their own and other children's achievements.
