Background:
Eastling Primary School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is four to 11. Information and communication technology prepares pupils to participate in a rapidly changing world in which work and other activities are increasingly transformed by access to varied and developing technology. The school also has its own ICT suite to enable class teaching to take place. The teaching of music develops pupils' ability to listen and appreciate a wide variety of music and to make judgements about musical quality. It encourages active involvement in different forms of amateur music making, both individual and communal, developing a sense of group identity and togetherness. Physical education provides opportunities for pupils to be creative, competitive and to face up to different challenges as individuals and in groups and teams. It promotes positive attitudes towards active and healthy lifestyles. Pupils have the opportunity to develop games skills throughout their school career within the PE curriculum as well as inter-school activities and competitions. The school aims to maintain, develop and extend lively enquiring minds within pupils.
