Background:

Situated on a large and 'attractive' estate to the west of Swanley, this 'constantly over-subscribed' school was opened in 1975. It has now grown to comprise one class per Year group in a 'caring yet challenging' environment. Every class has access to a computer and a learning support assistant can help those with Special Educational Needs. There is a range of extra-curricular activities on offer in this 'busy' school, including pottery, chess, gardening and computing. Pupils can also join one of the sports clubs and play against other local schools. Pupils regularly take part in Swanley Music Festival and compete in district athletics. The school is 'committed to involving parents' in their children's progress. Pupils and parents won the Swanley in Bloom School Garden competition by creating a new garden area that serves as an outdoor classroom.
