The school is set in green eight-acre site in a quiet residential area with view of Kent Downs, within easy reach of A21 and Orpington Railway Station. Its facilities are constantly being enhanced. Recent improvements include indoor tennis centre, e-learning in classrooms and upgraded sixth form suite. The school, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, has tripled original intake; pupils living within eight-mile radius are eligible to apply. The school has long record of academic success and a huge range of enrichment activities. It has achieved specialist engineering college status. Over-subscribed, with seven applications per place.
