Valley Park Community School is a secondary school and sixth form for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is 11 to 18. The school is located within easy and safe walking distance of Maidstone town centre and Mote Park and its leisure centre. It is situated in beautiful partially wooded grounds with a chalk stream and bridge adjacent to Vinters Valley Nature Reserve. The school has over 45 acres of playing fields including a variety of pitches and hard standing netball and tennis courts. The school is housed in modern buildings including the recently built canteen. It has six science laboratories, a food technology room, two room, two-drama studios/room, a photographic studio, a spacious fitness studio/gymnasium, a textile workshop and three technology workshops with computer controlled machinery and production units. It also offers a range of extra-curricular activities like netball, football and tennis. The school aims to provide a safe and pleasant environment for effective learning.
