Background:
Hildenborough CofE Primary was founded in 1847 by a group of local benefactors. The school has grown steadily and now receives on average of 85 applications for 33 places. It aims to have a 'strong family atmosphere and a tradition of community involvement'. Retired people are encouraged to work in the school and the school choir regularly sings to local pensioners. The school holds plays and concerts and has an 'active' sporting calender. The school has also piloted a business partnership venture on technology.
