Background:
The Anthony Roper Primary School is a popular village school situated in Eynsford on the outskirts of Dartford in Kent. The school is on the northern edge of Eynsford in the Darent Valley. It serves the villages of Eynsford and Farningham and surrounding communities. The school building has 12 classrooms, a hall, a canteen, supporting offices and a purpose-built computer suite. All classroom areas are carpeted. The school has its own playing fields, bordered on one side by the River Darent. It has four netball courts, two tennis courts, a five-a-side soccer pitch, a football pitch, which is used for athletics during the summer and an all-weather cricket square. The school has a variety of inter-house sports competitions and participates in the Sevenoaks District Primary Schools Sports Association competitions at football, netball, cricket, cross-country and athletics. Anthony Roper School aims to provide a caring, happy and supportive environment in which every child can develop to their maximum potential those relevant skills, interests, abilities and attitudes appropriate to his or her needs in accordance with the National Curriculum.
